[orca-list] Key echo with Speech Dispatcher backend

Dear Orca users,

I'd like to announce, that my patch for improved key echo handling was
just included in Orca SVN.  This patch may be very useful for those of
you, who like Festival speech synthesizer, but think it is too sluggish
to be usable with Orca.  With this patch, Festival feels much more
responsive than ever before (when used with the Speech Dispatcher
backend).  The reason is that Speech Dispatcher caches the synthesized
key events so key echo is dramatically faster.

Another advantage might be the possibility to use sound icons for key
press announcements.  If you have questions about Speech Dispatcher's
sound icons, feel free to contact the mailing list
