Re: Orca accessible news group binary downloaders

Hi Cody:

There's also Liferea, which is an aggregator for online news feeds. It
won't work out of the box, but Orca community member Javier (Yeah
Javier!) has been doing some work on a script for it:

    http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=350233

Please give it a try - it is something we should include in the Orca
2.18 release if people have good success with it. Note the comment at
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=350233#c12, which says it
works with the liferea-gtkhtml engine.

I'm still a dinosaur when it comes to news feeds, blogging, and the
like, so I'm not sure how to use Liferea.

Hi Cody:

It looks like nzb is based on KDE's Qt toolkit, which is not accessible
via the AT-SPI at this time.

The 'pan' newsreader seems close, but I'm not sure if the actual news
content allows caret navigation. I'm curious if anyone else on this
list has any experience with other news readers? It might be something
we can add to http://live.gnome.org/Orca/AccessibleApps.

Hi gang,
My friend discovered my isp gave me news groups, and I want to get an
accessible binary downloader. for now, I am using nzb, but orca says
"nzb inaccessible". what do you all recommend?
