Is there a way of finding out if you have the latest Ubuntu updates with
Orca?
I ask because someone installed Feisty on my laptop for me but the chap
couldn't get my wireless conection working.
I did a sudo apt-get update and a sudo apt-get upgrade and it seemed to
download packages for me and may have installed them for me but as I was
unsure if my batter would last the updating as I am not sure where the
plug for my desktop machine is as I didn't want to unplug my broadband
MODEM by mistake I am having to use the laptop on battery and because it
was chattering away I wasn't sure if my batter would last long enough
for me to do the updating so I pressed the left shift key in order to
cut off the verbose speech so I missed important information as to
whether my laptop has properly updated or whether I have affected my
updates halfway through and logged out of my terminal too early which
might have caused my system to break which is why I need to know about
the status of my updates and whether I gave my connection long enough to
do everything it needed to do to get me up to date with the security
updates or updates to applications etc.
