hello mohammed,
the best way to download big files is to use a proper download manager
like "wget". The command line download manager "wget" is also available for
windows.

The integrated download managers in firefox or ie are not really reliable.
Also, try to overburn a normal cdr instead of using a dvd - should work.

hi.
what is the best recommended way to download feisty ubuntu using windows? I
tried to download it this morning but the checksum values didn't match.
I noticed that the image is more than 700 mb, so I had to burn the image
twice using a dvd but that didn't work. the dvd appeared to be empty if
browsed using windows explorer.
any one of you ran into similar cercumstances?
thanks for everyone.
