Orca Applications menu announced, but that is all

Hi,
When I press alt-f1, I used to get an applications menu which could be 
navigated with the arrow keys.
The menu is still announced, but the arrows does nothing.
I suspect a broken gnome becose my X windows system did not start up 
before the last dist-upgrade.
This on Debian testing.
Any ideas on which package could be at fault here?
