You can safely say y to all the key echo options.  Modifier keys are
those keys like alt, shift and control.  Locking keys are your caps lock,
numlock and scroll lock keys.  Action keys I believe are things like
tab, space, enter and escape.  Function keys are your f1, f2, f3, etc.

As far as upgrading your laptop from Dapper to Edgy, you should be able
to just s/dapper/edgy/g in your /etc/apt/sources.list and apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade.  There's also a way to do it with something called
update-manager in graphical mode, so you shouldn't have to install from
the Edgy CD.
