Orca on freebsd systems

Hi listers,

  Not knowing if Free BSD 6.1 is really that up to date, would it be
worth trying to get orca running with it because I'd like to get closer
to unix as possible and that is the only "pure" Unix system around that
I know of. Just wanted a few tips...
