Hi all. Regarding bug id=344190
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=344190
A patch was proposed and the bug closed as fixed. Because Evolution is
crashing regularly with Orca, I'd like to try the patch. I'm guessing I
will need to use CVS to obtain it. (Is that correct?) I'm pretty new to
CVS... But I like to live dangerously <grin> so I gave the following a
shot:
sudo cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous anoncvs gnome org:/cvs/gnome co
gtkhtml
That seemed to work. Then I cd'ed into gtkhtml and tried:
sudo ./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr
And that seemed to start out okay, but it ended with the following:
Checking for required M4 macros...
gnome-compiler-flags.m4 not found
libtool.m4 not found
glib-gettext.m4 not found
intltool.m4 not found
pkg.m4 not found
Checking for forbidden M4 macros...
***Error***: some autoconf macros required to build gtkhtml
were not found in your aclocal path, or some forbidden
macros were found. Perhaps you need to adjust your
ACLOCAL_FLAGS?
Since I don't know what M4 macros and ACLOCAL_FLAGS are -- and am not
convinced I'm even on the right track regarding getting the patch in
question -- I figured I would stop and impose on you all for assistance.
Thank you very much in advance for your help!
Joanie
