Hello Sebastian,
test-speech isn't installed on all debian systems.
It wasn't there on my grml-system, but it exists on Ubuntu 6.10.
As I told you on our German linux list, the command
festival --tts filename
is part of the text console.
test-speech
is a program that tests the gnome speech server.
I guess you must install the gnome speech server. Check Hennings mail in
the German list.
