Hi,
In the new Orca, would it be possible to have a way to define any part of an application accessible with either arrows or flat review as a live region. It would work kind of like the Pidgin script does now, but the places that are monitored for changes would be definable by the user on the fly. Also, perhapse some kind of script reusability could be added. For example, some applications work similarly to others in the way that things are displayed. Instead of having to write a new script to handle the application, it would be neat to have a way to tell Orca that the application works similar to one that it knows and to use that script for it. For example, Seamonkey is similar to Firefox. A lot of the same code is used in both applications. So, when Seamonkey is loaded, a keypress that Orca recognizes would yield something like the following:
There is no script set for Seamonkey. Select a similar application.
then follows a listbox of applications that Orca has scripts for: Firefox, Rhythmbox, Pidgin, etc. There would also be ok and cancel buttons. IF ok were selected, from then on, the Firefox script would be loaded when Seamonkey is opened. Of course, there should also be a way to set it back to default in case it doesn't work quite as expected.
