That is indeed unusual.

Or perhaps that you messed up the build / install from source somehow.

The most helpful thing to do would be if you re-built and installed
ORBit2 with --enable-debug and then, login to a failsafe Xterm X session
and:

export ORBIT2_DEBUG=traces ; gnome-session >& /tmp/log

	post a _web link_ to the log here
