Hi all,
I have some problems when I use ORBit (ORBit-20000902) as a client for
Visibroker 4 CORBA servers. I use ORBit for writing a PHP extension for
my project.
1. CORBA_ORB_object_to_string method return NULL and prints a warning
when receives as a parameter a reference to a Visibroker object, that I
got from the naming service.
** WARNING **: Bug in CORBA_ORB_object_to_string, created bad IOR
`IOR:010000001900000049444c3a4c412f4c697374656e616e73696368743a312e3000000000020000000000000048000000010100000e0000003139322e3136382e312e313838000dc92c00000000564201000000115642526f6f74504f412f626f615f74700020202000000002323820203a9e3d0c000d97bd'
as David Erikkson has noticed, the IOR is indeed bad, but why does this
happened? The rest of the method invocations on the same reference works
fine.
2. I have a Visibroker 4 server that has one method for transforming a
reference into a string. The server works with a Visibroker client, but
crashes (together with the client and with a Speicherzugriffsfehler
message) when I use ORBit, but only if the reference send is one to a
Visibroker server, and before any of the object implementation code is
called.
I will be very happy to have the CORBA_ORB_object_to_string method
working. Anybody there with the same problem and maybe with a solution?
