CORBA to replace ODBC

Hi,

I've written a Visual C++ program that accesses a database (MS access,
postgres and mysql) through ODBC.

Would it be possible to port this app to use Orbit as the middleware instead
of ODBC?  Does Orbit support any type of query processing to enable me to do
this?
Any pointers to documentation on how to do this would be greatly
appreciated.
