All,

Two items of note. The OMG recently had a revision task force report on
the C mapping... (It was later dropped because nobody said they would
implement)

However, later a C Mapping RFP was issued. I've talked some with Michi
Henning about the C mapping, and both of us would support some proposal
from the ORBit group for changes. This issue with "const char *" sounds
like something that should be in the updated mapping.

Please look at both of the following documents and see if there are any
other issues that need to be addressed.

C RTF final report...

The C Mapping RFP issued in Danvers has been posted to the OMG server and
is now available @ URL
http://www.omg.org/techprocess/meetings/schedule/C_Mapping_RFP.html
with the document number orbos/2001-07-22

If this is a change that you want.... Propose it to the OMG.
