finalize in ORBit-0.5-stable?

Hi All,

Is it me, or does nothing call finalize() on a servant in
ORBit-0.5-stable?

In ORBit-head and ORBit2, PortableServer_POA_deactivate_object()
invokes finalize() on a servant. I need this functionality to
implement transient objects in orbitcpp.

How do existing applications cope with this? (or have I got the wrong
end of the stick somewhere?)
