I'm working on such kind of tutorials.
My recomendation, grab a simple project that works out of the box, fork it on
gitlab.gnome.org, compile, run and open code reviews for things you don't understand about. You can ping me using @albfan on comments and we can see what seems confusing. That feedback is the key to create that specific tutorials

I can understand that it might be better for a beginner so everything
can be understood. But for someone trying to develop a new app with
Builder it's a bit harder.
If rewriting the examples so that they can easily be followed along
with Builder is not an option, how about an stepping-up tutorial.
Where one can see the differences of the default Builder code and the
Tutorial, to learn the differences and understand them. For newcomers
like me this would be really awesome I think.
