[gnome-love] Regarding Gsoc Project

I wanted to work on "Port Sudoku from Python to Vala" as a part of Gsoc

But i have no working knowledge of Python and Vala

but i have expeience in C and Java

Is it advisable for me to opt for this project?

If yes..

Then what should be my starting point..
