I tried to email the list last night with info but it ended up
greylisted.

That bug is good but it's been closed as a duplicate of:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1658921

which is a better description.  In any event the solution suggested
there does work.  Hopefully Ubuntu will fix this error in their
NetworkManager configuration.
