OK, I give up ... what is the "magic dance" I need to do to restore a
forgotten NIC?
I was "playing" with gnome's network editor and on the reset page for a
device, I hit the "Forget" button. Device was "removed" but now I would
like to "restore it". How do I do that (other than to do another
complete install of Fedora 20)?
I've never really used the gui you are looking at so I don't know a way
through the GUI. Also I'm only speculating however my guess is that
since this is Fedora 20 the line NM_CONTROLLED="no" has been added to
the file /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-DEVICENAME
Change that to yes and I'd presume you'd see the device again. Meaning
you'll have to open a terminal and as a privileged user edit that file.
