For 0.9.10 (expected sometime May-ish), we'd like to bump up the

We're currently eyeing glib 2.32, and the corresponding gtk release
would be 3.4. Anyone got a problem with those?
Just a note: glib 2.32 was released on March 24, 2012. So by the time
NM 0.9.10 would be released, that version of glib would be well over 1
year old. Also, all major distros are already shipping 2.32.x, and
often one or two previous distro releases too (from a quick check on
pkg.org).

This would also involve dropping gtk2 support from the applet,
connection editor, and VPN plugins. AFAIK, this should not affect your
ability to embed the applet in a gtk2-based panel, since it's all out of
process anyway.
