I do not see him very often. I will ask him, but can promise nothing.
His motivation will not be very high, because it is his production
notebook and he has a working solution.
Next week I have an appointment for testing IPv6, i will try to apply
this patch too.

Can somebody explain in simple words, what the advantage of MBIM versus
ncm is?

cdc_ncm seems very comfortable to me.

but what does mbim (better)?
