Dear Dan,
I'm stuck with testing (see bold text on my previous mail) , and it
has been a while that I didn't hear news...
My original project is working (I managed to make it run using
custom scripts), so I don't really need this patch, but I think it
could be useful for others if we make it working anyway... also
considering that 90% of the work is probably done!
Thanks
Enrico

Dear Dan,
Just to be safe, did you find my last post on
networkmanager-list? I'm
not in a hurry, just that it's been a while that I do not hear
news... :)
Sorry, just looked into it. Can you
change /lib/udev/rules.d/77-mm-telit-port-types.rules like so?
-ACTION!="add|change", GOTO="mm_telit_port_types_end"
+ACTION!="add|change|move", GOTO="mm_telit_port_types_end"
I'm unable to find that file.
I've checked the package date. Latest MM installed on the
machine is "modemmanager
0.7.990~git201305202236.3521-0~pkg191~quantal1". This release
should already have the patch.
Anyway I've tried to make an update (always using Marius
Kotsbak's PPA) , but Synaptic says that if I want to update
modemmanager i have to uninstall "network-manager" and
"network-manager-gnome" (and these already seem to be latest
version). Why?
then "sudo udevadm control --reload" and
reboot the Telit module (or
plug/unplug, or cut power, etc). Then check the udevadm
commands again
from below (the udevadm info --query=all
--path=/sys/class/tty/ttyUSB2
ones) for the ID_MM_TELIT_xxx values.
Dan
Thank you
Enrico
