Hi
Huh. Just for reference, what's the model number and firmware version
of your card? The firmware version is AT+GMR (or MM will print it out
if you run it with --debug) and the model number is usually on the
bottom. I've got a bunch of Option devices (both USB, CardBus, and
ExpressCard), I'll try to reproduce the error with some of those.
The model number printed on the bottom is GE0201. The card is unbranded
(i.e., not branded by any ISP).
Here is what dmesg will spit out once the card has been modeswitched from
USB mass storage to modem:
[ 1662.107158] usb 6-2: New USB device found, idVendor=0af0, idProduct=6701
[ 1662.107167] usb 6-2: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=4
[ 1662.107175] usb 6-2: Product: Globetrotter HSDPA Modem
[ 1662.107181] usb 6-2: Manufacturer: Option N.V.
[ 1662.107187] usb 6-2: SerialNumber: Serial Number
The firmware version as reported by AT+GMR is:
1.12.1Hd (Date: Feb 22 2007, Time: 09:20:28)
The fw seems to be rather outdated. I will try to find a newer version to
test with...
br, Thomas
