Hi, 

just create and edit a configuration file
in /etc/Networkmanager/system-connections
and then use nmcli to activate it. 

I did a short HowTo (and mailed it to the list several times ;-) ) here:

The HowTo is for static IPs in an intranet. The easiest way to obtain
the correct options for ADSL is to create a connection on a Desktop PC
and view the corresponding config file.
