Right, but this is still not associated in any way with the SIM's
IMSI/ICCID or the device, and thus it'll still have all the problems
already mentioned with the initial PIN dialog. The big issue here is
that to get things like SMS, registration status, roaming, operator
name, and signal strength *before* being connected and thus spending $$,
you need to unlock the card by entering the PIN.
