Huh; the key line here is

Do you have the avahi-autoipd user in /etc/passwd and its group
in /etc/group?  Should be something like this:

avahi-autoipd:x:498:498:avahi-autoipd:/var/lib/avahi-autoipd:/sbin/nologin
