When I rewrote the PPtP plugin, I tested against Windows 2000 Server. I
would expect it to work there. What you might be running into is that
the server-side seems to be authenticating the PPP user and rejecting
it. NM-pptp will first send a configured username, then will send the
login name. If your login name is different than your PPtP username
that is configured on the PPtP server, you'll need to specify that
username in the NM-pptp config dialog.

Did you specifically set up any users on the PPtP server? If so, are
any of those users named "pcsol_nm?
