I apologize for the extremely descriptive subject line... but the errors I've
been getting are all over the place.
I have network-manager-pptp 0.7.1~rc4.20090316+bzr23-0ubuntu3 on a Jaunty x64
laptop. Initially, I installed (had to reboot before the connection started
functioning) and connected to my server running pptp.
I thought everything was fine... the next time I booted my laptop, I was
getting the error described here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-pptp/+bug/290468
I checked my versions, deleted the files in /etc/NetworkManger/VPN/ then
rebooted just to be sure. (I seem to have more luck with NM's VPN service
after a reboot.) After the reboot, I configured my VPN connection again and
attempted a connection. It went through the motions of connecting, and then
failed. syslog stated that CHAP and MSCHAP failed. My server is set to accept
CHAP and primarily MSCHAPv2 - all options in NM's VPN configuration are
checked and MPPE is checked with "All Available". It should be worthwhile to
note that during this whole time I can connect via pon without issue.
I figured another reboot would be a worthy endeavor... However, now it doesn't
even go through the motions of attempting a connection - it just says it
fails. Here's syslog entries:

I've been digging around on Google and so far the only bug entries that came
up was the one I already linked. If this is a known issue, I'll be happy to
post whatever information is needed there...
Thanks!
Daniel
