Hi,..
i'm on fedora 11 on use NetworkManager as a default. It has run
fine and without any headache for a long time.
But now suddenly the "Wireless option" is away and i'm stuck with
figure out, what happend.
The card modul is loaded and the device (wlan0) is there and i can
use it and connect to my AP using iwconfig/iwpriv/wpa_supplicant.
How to start debugging, why NetworkManager is not "seeing" the device?
Hardware is:
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0bda:8187 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8187
Wireless Adapter
The only error i can see so far is, that i have 2 wlan0 devices
displayed via gnomes 'system-config-network'. One with a full
description like "Realtek Semiconductor ..." and one called only
"rtl8187', both with device name "wlan0".
I have no idea if this is normal. 'ifconfig' output is ok and
includes a normal "wlan0" and a "wmaster0".
any hints?
Thank you
