If you're using tarball and patch Makefile.am, than your patch won't make any difference until you regenerate Makefile.in (with autoreconf). If you're using svn as your source - autogen.sh will run autoreconf automatically. The second patch in this thread (by Mikhail Efremov) fixes the issue. Thanks, Rob
