I'm running Fedora8, dell d820 laptop. Installed:
NetworkManager-gnome-0.7.0-0.6.7.svn3235.fc8
NetworkManager-0.7.0-0.6.7.svn3235.fc8
NetworkManager-vpnc-0.7.0-0.6.3.svn3109.fc8
NetworkManager-glib-devel-0.7.0-0.6.7.svn3235.fc8
NetworkManager-openvpn-0.7.0-8.svn3302.fc8
NetworkManager-devel-0.7.0-0.6.7.svn3235.fc8
NetworkManager-glib-0.7.0-0.6.7.svn3235.fc8
lspci shows:
09:00.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM5752 Gigabit Ethernet PCI
Express (rev 02)
dmesg shows:
eth0: Tigon3 [partno(BCM5752KFBG) rev 6002 PHY(5752)] (PCI Express) 10/100/1000Base-T
Ethernet 00:15:c5:08:5f:59
eth0: RXcsums[1] LinkChgREG[0] MIirq[0] ASF[0] WireSpeed[1] TSOcap[1]
eth0: dma_rwctrl[76180000] dma_mask[64-bit]
Running the miitest I get:
# miitest eth0
eth0 supports MII carrier detection
When I boot with the ethernet cable connected or plug in a cable, it used (a while ago) to
auto connect, but now it does not.
From the var log messages:

Mar 3 08:01:36 dufus kernel: tg3: eth0: Flow control is on for TX and on for RX.
It autoconnects to wireless connections when present, but not wired.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
