Hi All,
Can you please offer some suggestions on getting my laptop wireless
working with Network Manager? The problem seems to be that network
manager is trying to use device wlan0 rather than eth1. A more
linux-able person than I got the laptop to connect to another network
using *system-config-network*, so it seems my wireless card is working
(also see below), and I am now trying to connect using my home wireless
network using WPA-PSK security, and I gather *system-config-network
*doesn't work with WPA—hence I am using Network Manager
I should note that I have two wireless devices in this laptop. There is
an onboard Ratech RT2500 device, which is configured as wlan0. I haven't
been able to get the driver to work with Fedora Core 8, so I've
installed a Lucent Technologies card, and this one seems to be working
fine. It is configred as eth1, but unfortunately NM seems to want to use
wlan0.
Can someone please suggest how I can get NM to use the eth1 device?
Thanks,
Derek
