Re: Networkmanager/dbus/wpa_supplicant

Hi,

Today I've updated NM to recent SVN build. When I run NetworkManager I can see in logs:

Jan 10 15:50:36 [NetworkManager] <info> Trying to start the supplicant..._
Jan 10 15:50:37 [NetworkManager] <info> Trying to start the supplicant..._

and it doesn't start it. When I manually run wpa_supplicant -u I can see:

Jan 10 15:50:51 [NetworkManager] <info> (eth0) supplicant interface is now in state 1 (from 0)._ Jan 10 15:50:51 [NetworkManager] <info> (eth0) supplicant interface is now in state 2 (from 1)._

so everything seems to be fine.

This happens for wired ethernet card (haven't tried on laptop yet to check wireless). I'm using dbus-1.1.2 so it should start automatically right? Can it be related with dbus policy settings?

my current setting for NM is:

cat /etc/dbus-1/system.d/NetworkManager.conf

You may want to try the dbus 1.1.3 snapshot in my developer overlay.

Its publicly located at http://git.overlays.gentoo.org (just look on gitweb for the url)
