Hi,
NetworkManager works fine for my ethernet card, but not for my wireless
card, even when it's associated to an access point.
root# NetworkManager --no-daemon 2>&1 | \
sed 's/NetworkManager: <information>\t//'
starting...
eth0: Device is fully-supported using driver 'tg3'.
nm_device_init(): waiting for device's worker thread to start
nm_device_init(): device's worker thread started, continuing.
Now managing wired Ethernet (802.3) device 'eth0'.
Deactivating device eth0.
eth2: Device is fully-supported using driver 'ipw2200'.
nm_device_init(): waiting for device's worker thread to start
nm_device_init(): device's worker thread started, continuing.
Now managing wireless (802.11) device 'eth2'.
Deactivating device eth2.
[... silence ...]
When I plug in a cable into eth0, it will work. However, the wireless
card is not brought up. What do I need to do for NetworkManager to
bring up the wireless interface?
(I'm not using any GUI, just the raw NetworkManager on the terminal.)
Best wishes,
Lea
