Doing this may annoy a lot of people.  In the case of my home wireless
network setup, it happens fairly often that my laptop cannot
authenticate with the AP, even though neither hardware changed.  This
happens on a daily basis, probably due to interference of other home
networks (of which there are plenty where I live).

If NM was to invalidate the key every time a connection fails, this
would mean I'd have to re-enter the WPA key almost every time I want to
use the wireless network, in effect invalidating the whole keyring business.
