That's not the only issue IMHO. When the managed network available and some dolt has their laptop set to use the same ESSID but in ad-hoc mode, NM doesn't distinguish between them. This has been killing my ability to use NM other than at home since my customers are all using MS laptops which seem to know better. I want a quick fix that allows me to tell NM to totally ignore ad-hoc networks. As a linger term fix, I'd like to see NM distinguish between the FOO managed network and the FOO ad-hoc network not only in the GUI but also in network selection and connection logic. $0.02, Paul -- Paul Dugas, Computer Engineer Dugas Enterprises, LLC paul dugas cc phone: 404-932-1355 522 Black Canyon Park http://dugas.cc fax: 866-751-6494 Canton, GA 30114 USA -- On site at GDOT's W.Annex, 404-463-2860 x199 -- This e-mail and any attachments are confidential.
