[Fwd: Re: shared key FC5 Test 3]

Hi,

I've forwarded this to the list. I don't think it got through because I joined the list shortly after sending it.

Rob.

Hi Dan,

Sorry I should have thought of that myself. It's an Intel 2200 using
the default driver with the latest kernel. I have FC5 Test 3 fully
updated. It not a problem for me but it would nice to confirm and fix
before FC5 is released. Fedora is released so quickly I guess that's
overly optimistic.
If I can be of further assistance please don't hesitate to ask.

Rob.

Hi all,

I'm using a wep with a restricted key. Is this the same as "Shared

Yes, the real term is "Shared Key", but wireless tools is a bit odd
in
this respect.

run "iwconfig eth1 key restricted" as NetworkManager tries to
connect
for it to be successful. Otherwise it fails. Selecting either Open
or
Shared key fails.

What wireless card and driver do you have?

Dan
