wireless interface not showing up

Hello,
I use the latest Ubuntu with Network Manager 0.6.2 on my laptop which
has one Ethernet and one wireless network interface. Both network
interfaces are active in the network configurations but NM does show the
Ethernet interface only. How can I force NM to handle the wireless
interface as well?
