I found some patches on gentoo which inserted ok :)
Now when i plugin the networkcable i'm getting the following /var/log/messages:

Any ideas why eth0 can't be found by dhcdbd ? ifconfig shows it's up

I think there's one or two containing "dhcdbd" that you need as well.
