I'm using Fedora Core 4 and cannot get NMI to run if I am logged into
Gnome as an ordinary user. The radar sweeps but does not find the AP even
though I can see packets sending and receiving in Network Monitor.
If I first log into Gnome as root, start NMI and then log in as ordinary
user then the wireless works.
I have tried running NetworkManagerInfo as root from a Terminal window
logged in as ordingary user and I get an error:-
(NetworkManagerInfo:4742): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session
manager:
Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols
specified are supported and host-based authentication failed.
Regards.
