At the moment, no other nameserver configuration is being used, so it
is far from nessisary for me to use to use resolvconf. I can think of
a few situations where someone might want to use NetworkManager for
their wireless, but still want to bring up another interface (say ppp)
manually and have its resolver information available. But as
NetworkManager (hopefully) gets more capable, these situations should
be rare.

I really use resolvconf because it seems more elegant than having
various different scripts and programs rewriting my resolv.conf file.
And because I actually do run caching nameservers on some of my other
systems, and like to keep things as similar as possible across my
machines.
