Better network support?

I recently bought a NAS and was disappointed to discover that there
was no way to do network file transfers that supported ACL and
Extended Attributes. Niether SMB, NFS or even SSH did the trick. I had
to fall back to the comand line and use rsync.

Would it be possible to add rsync support, as a type of network
device, to Nautilus?
