Re: error when wring to a gvfs mounted shared folder which you should have permission

The situation is like that,
1) with smbclient, we can write to the folder. so the server is OK.
2) Our samba server is 3.0.28 or 3.0.32 now.
3) The share on the server, for example, "test".
"test" is readonly for all other users, but the user "abc" has writable permission to this folder.
On Fedora 9, to use gvfs-mount smb://abc 10 32 100 111/test, then we input username and password for "abc".
There will be a link on the desktop, and we double click on the link. It will prompt for username and password again, and we input username and password for "abc".
Nautilus open the shared folder, but we can not write some file to this folder.  Got the error "permission denied".

4) sine the desktop user is not "abc", and has no permission to this folder, so we can not try on ~/.gvfs
5) How can we get the version of gvfs?
6) This is not always happen, but the possibility is about 30%-50%.

Thanks

Can you please file a separate bug in bugzilla.gnome.org?

Also please check that:
 - smbclient is working properly so it's not a server fault
 - is this repro when using gvfs-fuse mount at ~/.gvfs?

Please report exact gvfs and smbclient versions as well as samba version
running on the server.

Setting the GVFS_SMB_DEBUG=99 environment variable and
running /usr/libexec/gvfsd -r might give you some debug info but this is
only available since 0.99.2

It's suggested to upgrade to latest release of your distribution as gvfs
development is quite active and there were many changes which may solve
your issue.
