I had actually never thought of this before (does any other OS
implement this?), but after hearing about it, it does sound like a
nice, intuitive behavior, at least once you are aware of it.
XP does not have it, I don't know if Vista has it.. anyway it's good to have some innovation respect other operative systems.
Does nautilus always (or typically) manage the desktop? As in, will
this work for most default metacity and compiz users in gnome?
Will work in all cases because uses the same code that the "show desktop" applet.
