Open bugs: no.  But this bug explains why a similar feature was removed:

and a few calls for its reinstatement have been marked as dups of <http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44772> (which is marked NOTABUG).

This bug http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=309162 has some reasons why this was implemented and not accepted, I personally like the feature, because it's a faster shortcut to do some common task, that makes the desktop more productive, and also for compatibility with other file managers...
