The eject icon will be available in Nautilus 2.24. Unfortunately it will
not change its appearance when you hover over it with a mouse, though,

Yes, it is a bug which has been fixed one month ago in Nautilus 2.23. It
happens when you have bookmarks refering to non-existant locations.
Unfortunately, it was not fixed in the stable
branch. You can work around it by opening the bookmark editor window
(Bookmarks -> Edit Bookmarks), and removing all items which have a globe
as icon.
