Some info about Nautilus extensions

Hello,
I'm writing an encrypted folder manager for Linux and I want to
integrate it with Nautilus.

I've found how to add emblems on encrypted folders and menu entries
but I want something more specific : when an user enter in an
unmounted encrypted folder, ask for the password and refresh.

I need someting to detect we are entering in a directory. Is there a
way to do this with an extension ?
