Nautilus won't start

I've just updated my system to FC6 and Nautilus won't start when I log in.

$ cat .xsession-errors
...
nautilus: error while loading shared libraries: libgailutil.so.17: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory
...

I did some looking around to find the missing library and discovered

$ rpm -q --provides gail
libferret.so
libgail.so
libgailutil.so.18
gail = 1.9.2-1.fc6

It looks like libgailutil.so.17 is for FC5. Since I did an update not a
fresh install, I am guessing that there is some problem with my
configuration. Any suggestions?

$ rpm -q nautilus
nautilus-2.16.2-5.fc6
