outdated stuff in nautilus src?

Hi,
Does the cut-n-paste directory in nautilus src still have any purpose.
I say this because in the README file under that directory, there's a
quote:

 "For example, the code in widgets/e-paned will be available as part
of Gtk+ 1.4."
