I have my desktop set to 1600x1200. Which is a pretty high resolution.
I have my icons zoomed in to 200% by defualt in icon view. When I
mouse over audio files to hear a preview and I see the audio.png file
(the speech bubble with the blue note) it gets scaled up a LOT. The
original is 26x24px. I have made an SVG replacement in inkscape that I
would like to use so that when I mouse over audio files I don't see
the nasty pixelation. Unfortunetly I don't know how or if it is even
possible to replace audio.png with an audio.svg file.

Can this be done?
It requires some code changes.
I was afraid of that. Unfortunately I'm terrible at C. However, since
you say the only changes in 2.12 will probably be minor UI changes, and
this is a minor UI change. If someone else can tweak the code, I don't
mind providing the image.

Please add a bug in bugzilla describing your request and where you attach your svg and sent the the bugzilla link to the list.

I might have a go at it sometime

Jaap

Here is the submitted bug. The SVG file is attached there. http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=170490

Hope you're able to do something with it Jaap, thanks!

Corey
BTW, shouldn't this icon ideally live in /usr/share/icons/default/scalable/emblems or /usr/share/icons/default/24x24/emblems instead of /usr/share/pixmaps/nautilus?
Just a suggestion.
